Ethan is finally free. He’s left the Cabal behind and embraced a civilian life with Jack, the man he loves. The only problem is that the Cabal isn’t willing to let him go. A call in the middle of the night and a threat to Jack’s family, and Ethan is back in the game. The only way out is to take on the organization that spent years warping his life.

Jack’s boyfriend has a way of vanishing on him, but this time Ethan’s disappearance is more frightening than ever. A trail of mysterious clues, a hit against his family, and the handprint of the Cabal on everything means the greatest test of love and determination Jack has ever endured.

Torn apart by forces greater than they are, Jack and Ethan must fight harrowing battles to get back to each other. The Cabal is the greatest foe either of them has had to face. Ethan is willing to throw away everything to bring an end to the Cabal’s evil. And Jack is willing to do the same to make sure Ethan comes out the other side alive.

♦️ Riina’s Review ♦️

Jack and Ethan are back! (How I LOVE saying that!)

When Death Frees the Devil is the third and last in the Death and the Devil series. While I love and adore every single volume, this one…man, it’s the most intense, most emotional and satisfying of all. Simply outstanding!

If you’re considering picking up this book you’ll most likely be familiar with Jack and Ethan, so really, there’s no need for me to go into all the brilliant details of the story. You’ll want to experience it all first hand, spoiler-free. And if you haven’t already purchased it…well, *gasp*, what the bloody heck are you waiting for!?

Here’s the naked truth: It’s impossible not to obsess over Jack and Ethan!

Their romance is out of this world. Even after two novels and a handful of novellas, When Death Frees the Devil is just as exciting from beginning to end! Oh the drama, the action and suspense, the surprises, twists and turns –– oh and the looooove!!! L.J. delivers it so well… *satisfied sigh*

I reached the end faster than I wanted (I wasn’t ready for THE END and it still hurts a little).

Jack and Ethan will always hold a special place in my heart.

L.J. Hayward is a GODDESS and a QUEEN and I’ll forever stalk admire her (and her writing)!
